Discover SAL Burj Al Arab’s Chic Vibes and Exclusive Seaside Flavors
The iconic, sail-shaped Burj Al Arab once dubbed the world’s first seven-star hotel always offers something special, and SAL is where I felt that blend of skyline and shoreline collide beautifully. This Southern Mediterranean-inspired spot sits right on the coastline, taking guests from luxury heights to relaxed beachside charm with stunning views of the Arabian Gulf that I personally found unforgettable.
The chic beach club restaurant truly impressed me; its décor speaks casual elegance. A vast terrace with outdoor seating combines natural woods, soft, textured fabrics across parasols, comfortable sofa sets, and crisp blue, white hues, transporting diners straight to the Iberian Peninsula. This region also influences the food selection, creating two distinct daytime culinary experiences that feel both refined and refreshing.
SAL Beachclub

At SAL Beachclub, I loved how Italian flavours met sunny beach vibes, especially knowing that the head chef Paolo Mannis once worked at the three-Michelin-starred Da Vittorio in the northern Italian region of Lombardy. His focus on traditional cooking techniques, high-quality ingredients, and blending Italian, Spain, and Portugal cuisines gives the lunch menu at SAL a rich family-style warmth. The selection of set menus starts daily from 12.30pm to 5.30pm, and every plate feels like a personal culinary journey, beginning with amuse bouche tomato gazpacho followed by bright starters like yellowtail crudo, tuna tartare, and caviar.
My favourite moment came mid-meal with the trenette pasta in basil pesto, touched with espelette chilli and balsamic, before moving to the main course choices such as Portuguese-style baked sea bream or stone-oven-baked chicken with jus and fries. The decadent desserts from fresh berries pavlova to chocolate mousse—make diners feel like they’re ending a true gastronomic experience. Spending the afternoon by the beach, pool, or swim-up bar that overlooks the sea reminds me why this place feels uniquely Dubai: a blend of refinement and relaxation under the watchful expertise of culinary masters.
Afternoon tea at the Skyview Bar

Enjoying afternoon tea here felt like stepping into a charming, tiered tower of savoury delights and sweet joys, each served with a sophisticated touch while the city and its recognisable landmarks framed the most incredible views. I loved how the chefs shaped every detail from zucchini petals and King Crab tartelette to a delicate mango flower roll—into a truly quintessential Dubai experience.
The medley of treats continued with hazelnut, lemon swirl, pistachio, raspberry, and cookies, followed by fluffy scones with custard and jams, plus glossy pastries that felt like edible art. Each bite reminded me why this spot is beloved—elegant moments, rich flavors, and a memory I still taste.
