Stepping into Cloud 22 felt like walking into a slice of Europe, where the shores and beaches of Marbella, the Amalfi Coast, and even St Tropez seemed to blend with the energy of Dubai. The moment I saw the blue and white Dolce & Gabbana touches across the skypool, in-water beds, and loungers, I knew this was more than a seasonal summer trend — it was a full designer takeover.

The Italian fashion brand has collaborated with Ounass to create a striking pop-up at Atlantis The Royal, turning the 90-metre infinity pool into a living canvas of Majolica print, cream pendant umbrellas, and matching inflatables that gently float in the water. I’ve visited many beach clubs from Miami to Maldives, but the choice aplenty here has truly become unmatched.

Walking along the Galleria level, the exclusive Ounass store was showcasing pieces from the Blue Majolica, Psychedelic Cart, and Crystal Mesh Collection, giving guests a rare chance to explore labels that often demand serious attention. Its specially created menu, limited edition drinks, and playful dishes made the experience feel crafted for those who appreciate luxury in all its forms.

What surprised me most was how the venue has turned into one of Dubai’s chicest escapes, joining spots like Aura Skypool, the Boss monochrome collaboration, and Nammos, once adorned with the Dioriviera print. Even memories of METT Bodrum’s Missoni zigzag pattern and One&Only Reethi Rah, once transformed and painted in bold colours, came rushing back.

Since Cloud 22 opened to the public in December—after being exclusively reserved for hotel guests—its panoramic views of Palm Jumeirah and the Dubai skyline, 11 luxury cabanas, private plunge pools, a floating infinity pool, and a stunning two-storey private cabana have made access worth the entry that starts at $123 and is restricted to those aged 21 and over.
